How to get there
If you are travelling through, or North of Frankfurt, then you should take
the following route and save at least € 70 return. Cologne, Liege, Mons,
Tournai, Lille, Arras.
Leave the A1 as soon as you see the PÉAGE (Toll) sign. You will then
leave the motorway before the toll part begins.
You are now on a by-pass system of roads, but be on the constant lookout for
Abbeville. It is well sign-posted, but still concentration will deter any
major mistakes.
This is altogether an 80 Km stretch of major roads, cutting cross country
through Picardie.
At Abbeville you join the highway A28 for Rouen. In Rouen you follow the signs
for the A13 Paris/Caen.
You take the Caen direction. From Rouen to Caen is the only stretch where
you pay toll. When you reach Caen you take the circular road (péripherique
sud) and take the exit Rennes/Le Mont St. Michel. You are now on the toll-free
highway A84. Wait until you see the sign Avranches/Granville/Jullouville all
together on one sign-post and exit here.
Take the direction Granville and after the roundabout and a long s-curve ending
over a little bridge you will be on a long straight road heading out of a
village called Marcey. The next landmark will be a row of shops on the right
hand side in a dip. Then, coming up on the third hill after the shops is a
sign for Bacilly. This is a left turn and after a few hundred metres again
a left turn.
When you enter Bacilly, just ask for Bob!
